YEREVAN, MAY 13, NOYAN TAPAN. NT correspondent learned some details of
the clashes at polling station 13/15 in Erebuni community from the
press service of "New Times" party. According to it, head of the
Erebuni community Mher Sedrakian entered the polling station, where he
beat the representative of the "Prosperous Armenia" party (PAP),
insulted him and kidnapped his brother. All members of the electoral
commission, except for representatives of the Republican Party of
Armenia (RPA), left the polling station. Then Gagik Tsarukian with his
bodyguards came to the polling station, gathering a large crowd in the
central part of Erebuni Street. "They settled accounts with RPA
representatives, the sides exchanged swear-words and rude
expressions," a press release of "New Times" reads.
According to the press release, several voters at polling station
11/30 said they want to fill in their voting-papers with red or green
pen. In response to admonitions of Ruzanna Poghosian, person empowered
to act for "New Times", the commission chairman of that polling
station stated that chairman of the Central Election Commission
Garegin Azarian said that people may vote even with their blood.
Mass fillings of voting papers – with the use of the so-called
"carousel" were observed in polling station 5/19. At Yerevan polling
stations 12/10, 12/11 and 12/12, Yervand Minasian gave 5 thousand-dram
electoral bribes to people, urging them to vote for the Republican
Party of Armenia.
