"If the Republican Party makes such decision, I will participate in
the presidential elections in 2008," Armenia’s Prime Minister Serzh
Sargsyan, head of the Republican Party political council is quoted
as saying by a REGNUM correspondent. The presidential elections in
Armenia are to be held in the beginning of 2008.

Sargsyan also informed that after the May 12 parliamentary
elections there will be a reshuffle in the government and "it will
be significant."

Commenting on the parliamentary election process, Sargsyan noted that
"there were neglects, but there are no ideal elections in any country,
and those discontented are always present." "There are no discontented
people, if there are no losers. We, the Republican Party, are satisfied
with the election outcomes and we shall do our best that next elections
are held in full correspondence with the law," Sargsyan said. It is
worth mentioning, the Republican Party received 32.8% at the elections.

Sargsyan ruled out a possibility of early presidential elections
in Armenia. He also informed that the Republican Party is ready to
cooperate with all political forces, adding that it is too early to
speak of a coalition government yet.
