Deputy Foreign Minister of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Masis Mailyan
has declared that "the main problem is that today Azerbaijan is not
ready to accept the right for self-determination and independent
development of our people."

The Deputy Foreign Minister declared this during the meeting with
the delegation of the Oxford University students and lecturers, who
arrived in Stepanakert on a familiarization visit, Mediamax was told
at NKR MFA.

"The international community has realized that despite being
unrecognized, the Nagorno Karabakh Republic is a full-fledged state
and is developing," Masis Mailyan said.

Speaking about the process of the Karabakh conflict settlement, the
Deputy Minister said the cease-fire is the most important achievement
of the negotiations. He noted that the talks were trilateral and
featured Nagorno Karabakh between 1992-1997, while today only periodic
meetings take place between the official representatives of Armenia
and Azerbaijan.
