Parents of Azerbaijani soldier, Samir Mamadov, taken prisoner by
Armenians, protest against statement of Armenian Ombudsman. Samir’s
uncle, Vidadi Mamadov, informed "Trend" on Wednesday that Armenian
Ombudsman, after meeting with Samir, said that soldier of Azerbaijani
army and his brother are orphans and grew up in children’s house.

Vidadi Mamadov protested against false information spread by Armenian
mass media. He declared that he applied in this connection to
Azerbaijani representative office of International Committee of the
Red Cross. "Representatives of the above Committee met with Samir’s
parents several times. They handed his letters to them and brought
his parents letters to him. We demanded from representatives of the
Committee to take measures to prevent illegal actions of Armenian
officials", said he.

Soldier of Azerbaijani military forces, Samir Mamadov, was taken
prisoner by Armenians, December 24, 2006. Mamadov didn’t answer to
the last letter of his parents; they think that their son is under
pressure.

Samir Mamadov is a soldier of N military unit. He was called out for
military service last year by Military Commissariat of Barda region.

He was taken prisoner by Armenians in 15 km. from military unit,
on the border Kazakh-Ijevan.
