"ECONOMY AND VALUES" RESEARCH CENTER STUDIES ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF DIASPORA AND PROSPECTS OF ITS LINKS WITH ARMENIA

YEREVAN, MAY 31, NOYAN TAPAN. The research center "Economy and Values"
for analysis and development of economic development strategies is
currently studying the economic potential of the Diaspora. The center
director Manuk Hergnian told NT correspondent that the purpose of this
study is to identify Diasporan Armenians’ prospects of establishing
business links with Armenia.

According to him, the results of the study will be published in late
2007, based on which some models of increasing the efficiency of
Armenia-Diaspora business relations will be proposed.

Speacial database, famous foreign business magazines, periodicals,
etc, are the main sources of information.

To recap, the research center is a partner of the World Economic Forum
and participates in preparation of Global Competitiveness Reports.
