Armenia has received an invitation to participate in the summit of the
Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Organization in Istanbul.
However, it’s not certain so far on what level our republic will be
represented, Acting Spokesman of RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Vladimir Karapetyan told ArmInfo correspondent.

For its part, Turkish `Zaman’ newspaper writes that on the occasion of
the 15th anniversary of the organization’s establishment an invitation
to participate in the summit has been sent to Armenian President Robert
Kocharyan. However, it is expected that Armenia will be represented at
the level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It’s worth mentioning that the level of Armenia’s representation in the
summit may be associated with the outcome of the meeting of the
Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Saint Petersburg on June 9.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
