ARMENIAN PRO-GOVERNMENT PARTIES GET POSTS OF DEPUTY SPEAKERS IN PARLIAMENT

Yerevan, 7 June: Vahan Hovhannisyan of the Armenian Revolutionary
Federation – Dashnaktsutyun and Ishkhan Zakaryan of the Prosperous
Armenia Party have been elected deputy speakers of the Armenian
parliament today.
Mediamax reported that 110 people voted in favour of Vahan Hovhannisyan
with two people voting against his candidacy, and 102 MPs voted for
Ishkhan Zakaryan with nine votes cast against him.
Hovhannisyan was the deputy speaker of the previous parliament.
Zakaryan headed the committee on physical training in the Armenian
government.
