GREEK PRESIDENT VISITED MATENADARAN

Today the President of Greece Karolos Papoulias, who is paying a
state visit to Armenia, visited Matenadaran – the research institute
of ancient manuscripts.

Let us remind that in the framework of the visit Karolos Papoulias
held talks with RA President Robert Kocharyan, Prime Minister Serge
Sargsyan, other officials. Yesterday he laid a wreath of flowers
at the memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims and met with the
studens and faculty of the Yerevan State University.

Today Mr. Papoulias is scheduled to meet with representatives of
the Greek Armenian community and to visit the Mother See of Holy
Etchmiadzin to have a meeting with the Catholicos of All Armenian
Karekin II.
