KECHUT RESERVOIR TO BE RESTORED BY END OF 2007

YEREVAN, JULY 9, NOYAN TAPAN. The restoration of the Kechut
reservoir will be completed by the end of the year. As a Noyan Tapan
correspondent was informed by the RA State Committee of Water Economy,
the World Bank has allocated 1.28bn drams (nearly 3.7m dollars) for
its construction and restoration. The construction is being carried
out by the Arpa-Sevan OJSC and the Vayk road construction enterprise
consortium.
It should be mentioned that the Kechut reservoir is in the Vayots
Dzor region, it was built in 1981, and its total capacity is 23m
cubic meters.
