EARTHQUAKES MEASURING 5 HAPPEN IN SHIRAK REGION ON JULY 9

YEREVAN, JULY 10, NOYAN TAPAN. An earthquake of 3.4 magnitude,
the might of which measured 5 in the epicentral zone, happened six
kilometers to the north of the city of Ashotsk in the territory of
Armenia at 18:10 on July 9.

According to the information provided by the National Service of the
Seismic Protection, the earthquake was felt in Bavra and Zuygaghbyur
measuring from 3 to 4.

It should be mentioned that another earthquake of 3.5 magnitude took
place six kilometers to the north of the city of Ashotsk at 14:33
on the same day and the might of this earthquake measured 5 in the
epicentral zone. The earthquake was felt in Gyumri, Bavra, Vanadzor
measuring 3, and in Ashotsk and Zuygaghbyur measuring 4.
