‘TASHIR’ DEVELOPER GROUP CREATES JOINT VENTURE WITH BELGIAN FAST-FOOD MARKET OPERATOR QUICK

One more competitor of the American McDonald’s enters the Russian
market: "Tashir" developer group announced of creation of a joint
venture with the Belgian fast-food market operator Quick. The partners
will invest about 100 mln Euro in construction of a network of 80
restaurants within 5 years.

50% will belong to the partners in "Quick Russia". This Company will
deal with operational control of the project in Russia and CIS states
to be headed by Konstantin Soldatenkov, who will combine the new
post with management of the Russian network of boutiques of premium
chocolate Daskalides (part of "Tashir" GC). The partners will open
four restaurants Quick in Kaluga, Yaroslavl and Tula till the end,
2007. The first capital restaurant will be opened in "Rio" which
belongs to "Tashir". As K.

Soldatenkov said, the contract with Quick has been signed for ten
years.

Within 5 years, the parties intend to open 80 restaurants "first of
all, in Moscow and the big regional centers". The investments will
make up 100 mln Euro. As Soldatenkov said, later on, the JV will be
opened in Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

To note, the Quick group was created in Belgium in 1971. At present,
it owns 414 restaurants in Belgium, France, Algeria and Spain. The
turnover in 2006 made up 807 mln Euro, the forecast for 2007 is 900
mln Euro. "Tashir" Group of companies was created in 1999 to work in
the market of commercial real estate. The group also includes Cinema
Star, hotels and the Grand Food Corporation, which develops fast
food networks "Tashir-Pizza", "Kebab-tun", "Chicken House". The main
shareholder is Samvel Karapetyan, brother of Head of the Republican
party of Armenia Karen Karapetyan.
