YEREVAN, JULY 16, NOYAN TAPAN. The "State Service of Employment"
agency of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs finished the
"Optimalization of School Staff and Social Assistance" subprogram
of the "Quality and Conformity of Education" program. As Sona
Haroutiunian, the Head of the agency, mentioned during the summing
up of the results of the program on July 13, according to the data
received from schools, the number of teachers, who had been dismissed
by June, 2007, makes 7251. 3159 out of this 7251 have been taken
account of and have made use of the above-mentioned program.
Sona Haroutiunian also mentioned that a course on the subject "Civil
Service" was organized for five teachers within the framework of this
program and that these five teachers were given a benefit during the
training. 69 teachers made use of the "Transportation, provision of
a cash prize" component. Thus, a cash prize of 300 U.S. dollars was
allocated to those teachers, who left for another settlement alone
in order to work as a pedagogue, and as for those, who left with
the members of their families, they were granted a cash prize of 500
U.S. dollars.
1731 beneficiaries made use of the "Provision of additional cash
payment" component, who were allocated a sum surpassing their average
monthly wages for six times. 28 teachers were supplied with the
service of psychological assistance and development of capacities
for looking for a job.
Sona Haroutiunian also stated that irrespective of the fact that the
program has already finished, the teachers, who did not make use of
its components for this or that reason, continue to be considered as
benificiaries and they can apply and make use of the programs of the
state employment.
