July 18 Speaker of RA National Assembly Tigran Torosyan received
the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt to Armenia
Abla Mohammad Abd-el Rahman Osman on the occasion of completion of
the latter’s tenure in office.
Speaker Tigran Torosyan noted that although the years of the
Ambassador’s tenure in office were productive from the perspective of
development of Armenian-Egyptian relations, the interparliamentary
relations were not active. He expressed hope that the after the
parliamentary elections in Armenia an Armenian-Egyptian Deputy
Friendship Group will be formed in the National Assembly, which will
promote the establishment of active interparliamentary ties between
the two countries.
Ambassador Abla Mohammad Abd-el Rahman Osman congratulated Tigran
Torosyan on holdings successful parliamentary elections. The Ambassador
also attached importance to the development if interparliamentary
ties and informed that a Deputy Friendship Group with the National
Assembly of Armenia operates in the Parliament of Egypt.
