PRESIDENT KOCHARYAN RECEIVED THE AMBASSADOR OF EGYPT

President Robert Kocharyan today received the Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of Egypt Abla Mohammad Abd-el Rahman Osman on
the occasion of completion of the latter’s tenure in office.
Thanking for productive cooperation, Robert Kocharyan said that the
years of her tenure in office were fruitful from the perspective of
development of Armenian-Egyptian relations.
With great warmth the President remembered his recent visit to Egypt
and noted he is greatly impressed by the ancient civilization of this
country, the huge historical and cultural heritage.
The parties spoke about the perspectives of development of cooperation,
the accomplishment of the agreements reached during the President’s
visit, emphasizing the importance of the economic component of
cooperation.
According to them, it is necessary to have the level of economic
cooperation correspond to that of political ties.
