MORE RUSSIAN MILITARY HARDWARE LEAVES GEORGIA FOR ARMENIA

Moscow, 16 August: A train carrying military hardware that is being
removed from Georgia today left for Armenia from the Russian base in
Batumi, a staff member at the press and public relations service of
the Russian Defence Ministry’s Ground Troops has told RIA Novosti.
"On Thursday [16 August] at 0130 Moscow time [0930 gmt on 15
August] a train carrying arms and property left Batumi station
(Georgia) for the 102nd Russian military base in the town of Gyumri
(Armenia). Thirty-four vehicles have been loaded onto 19 platforms and
carriages. The total weight of the load being removed [from Georgia]
is over 200 t," said the agency’s source.
