ARMENIA OFFERS ITS TERRITORY FOR CIS TRANSIT BASES

Armenia proposed setting up CIS transit bases of humanitarian aid in
Armenia. This proposal was made known by the head of the state reserve
agency of the Armenian ministry of territorial governance Rudick
Ghukasyan during the meeting of the CIS executives, the managers of
the state reserves. "We offer to use the territory of Armenia to set
up humanitarian bases where the stocks of materials and equipment
of the CIS countries will be located to use in case a member of the
commonwealth wishes to provide humanitarian aid to the neighboring
countries in the region," Rudick Ghukasyan said, adding that in that
case Armenia will control the distribution of the stocks.
