Facebook blocks Mikayel Minasyan’s page, removes his post about priest after Armenian authorities’ complaint

Former Ambassador of Armenia to the Holy See Mikayel Minasyan told News.am that Facebook has blocked his page for 24 hours and has removed his last post supporting Father Pargev Zeynalyan, the priest of St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in the Armenian town of Sisian.

“Since the actions of the authorities of Armenia in agony to cling to power are becoming ridiculous, I deem it necessary to inform that the authorities, using all state resources and in fear of today’s release of the Requiem series, blocked my Facebook page for 24 hours and, as a result of staged complaints, Facebook removed my last post about Father Pargev.

"I am gladly presenting to your media outlet the “Requiem/4: People” series to broadcast it for me and reaffirm every word stated in my last Facebook post, according to which any encroachment against the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church and its servants will be punished by the strictest rules of the law and life. If only this government of pitiful bastards dealt with the Armenian boys who are missing and in captivity, the security of the borders of Armenia and Artsakh and the social issues of our people with the same consistency. Casus belli,” the ex-ambassador stated.

Thousands protest in Armenia, demand the prime minister’s resignation

YEREVAN, Armenia (AP) — Opposition supporters in Armenia on Tuesday ramped up pressure on the prime minister to resign over his handling of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Azerbaijan, setting up a protest tent camp on the capital’s main square.

Opposition politicians and their supporters have been demanding that Nikol Pashinyan step down over the Nov. 10 peace deal that saw Azerbaijan reclaim control over large parts of Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding areas. The Russia-brokered agreement ended 44 days of fierce fighting in which the Azerbaijani army routed Armenian forces.

Tens of thousands of demonstrators swarmed government buildings in Yerevan, chanting “Nikol, go away!” Several hours into the rally, opposition supporters erected tents on Yerevan’s main square.

Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a leading member of the opposition Dashnaktsutyun party, said protesters will stay on the square until Pashinyan resigns. “Tomorrow we will take even more resolute action,” he said.

In several other parts of Armenia, local officials have joined the call for Pashinyan to resign and protesters were reported to have blocked several major roads.

On Monday, Pashinyan was forced to cut short his trip to the southern Syunik province after a local mayor urged residents to deny entrance to his motorcade. Police arrested the mayor of Goris, but a court in Yerevan ruled Tuesday to release him from custody.

As protests spread, hundreds of lawyers joined the demonstrations in Yerevan on Tuesday to push for Pashinyan’s resignation.

The opposition also called on Pashinyan’s My Step coalition, which currently has the majority of seats in the parliament, to sit down for talks on Tuesday — a demand it ignored.

Opposition parties initiated a parliament session Wednesday to push for the lifting of martial law, charging that the government has used the measure to keep a lid on protests.

Nagorno-Karabakh lies within Azerbaijan but was under the control of ethnic Armenian forces backed by Armenia since a separatist war there ended in 1994. That war left Nagorno-Karabakh itself and substantial surrounding territory in Armenian hands.

Hostilities flared up in late September and the Azerbaijani military pushed deep into Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding areas in six weeks of fighting involving heavy artillery and drones that left more than 5,600 people dead on both sides.

The Russian-brokered peace agreement obliged Armenian forces to surrender large parts of Nagorno-Karabakh and hand over the territories around the separatist region they had controlled for more than a quarter-century.

The peace deal was hailed in Azerbaijan as a major triumph, but sparked outrage and mass protests in Armenia where thousands repeatedly took to the streets. Pashinyan has defended the deal as a painful but necessary move that prevented Azerbaijan from overrunning the entire Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Asbarez: ARF Serves The Nation While Pashinyan Does Not

December 21,  2020

ARF and Homeland Salvation Movement marches, activities, and services at Yeraplur

BY GARO R. MADENLIAN

Nikol Pashinyan and his “my-steppers” have managed to dismantle the national agenda, denounce patriotism, divide the country, destroy democracy, degrade national icons and desecrate Artsakh, the Armenian nation’s unified and primary purpose of the modern era; But they evidently had other priorities… During the war they deceived the country, denied sending supplies and troops, diverted the truth, and retreated into a desolate surrender, even though the Armenian nation around the world was united like never before. Then, Pashinyan signed the disastrous agreement surrendering most of the Republic of Artsakh, and apparently parts of Armenia, after allowing thousands of brave men and women to perish and over 10,000 to be wounded.

Nikol and his mis-steppers continue their pattern of deceit and betrayal in their last-ditch effort to retain their seats and an illusion of power by blaming everyone else for this catastrophic situation that they themselves inflicted upon Armenia and Artsakh; they’ve unleashed their fakes, bots and zombies to attack any and all dissenters on social media in their attempts to distort the facts and shift the focus away from their incompetence, a common tactic utilized during the velvet regime change.

They continue to try to dictate the narrative by calling for unity, supposedly to allow time for the nation to grieve, but more likely to continue capitulating further as it seems Nikol has promised much to others. They question protesters motives and whether they were at the front during the war, and stress that the focus should be on the humanitarian crisis, yet they do nothing to help but continue to detract and distract the Armenian people. They attempted a disgraceful PR campaign with photo-ops at Yeraplur utilizing our martyred heroes as a prop to buy time to complete their “plans.” And now they even attack the ARF who called for unity and offered to pool resources during the economic collapse and covid crisis in Armenia, and from the onset of the war.

Yes, We Call For Unity; A Unity Of Purpose Based On The National Agenda
Yes, we call for unity; but unity of purpose based on the national agenda and that which is just and right for Armenia and Artsakh, the citizenry, and the diaspora; but not a failed government serving personal interests that unabashedly hands over large portions of the country, and gives itself unimaginable financial bonuses while the country faces a humanitarian crisis with thousands of displaced and homeless families from Artsakh.

Nikol and his mis-steppers absurdly scream for unity when they encouraged and perpetuated divisions, and ultimately created this calamity. Yet, they now expect the intelligent and proud Armenian people to forget that it was Pashinyan and his incompetent policies and incapable government that projected this painful reality of Nikol’s “new Armenia” with no Artsakh, and possibly no Syunik, on us as they continue to drown our nation deeper into depths of despair.

Thus, unity of purpose for the nation starts with abolishing those like Nikol and his mis-steppers who worked contrary to the national interest, prioritized personal benefit and gains over that of the country, while serving others interests; A unified effort to remove Nikol and his mis-steppers from office is the first step to correct the course, salvage what remains of the Homeland and move forward.

ARF volunteer groups in, or heading to, Syunik in defense of the people

It’s Time to Grieve and Honor the Heroes By Continuing the Struggle
Nikol and his followers ask the people to wait so everyone can grieve; in essence to do nothing while the enemy advances militarily and politically. They continue to sacrifice young and old men and women in Artsakh and Armenia instead of saving the POWs and securing the return of the remains of our fallen heroes. They continue to dishonor our soldiers by further capitulating to the enemy instead of recognizing our heroes and ensuring their sacrifices were not in vain by continuing the collective struggle for justice, self-determination for the people of Artsakh, and basic human rights for all Christian Armenians.

ARF is the Rock That Unifies the Nation
Pashinyan and his followers (fakes, bots and zombies) even have the nerve to attack the ARF, question our patriotism, hurl unimaginable slurs against our 130-year old organization that has, and continues to, tirelessly work for the Armenian nation in the homeland and in the diaspora, furthering the national agenda, securing the survival of a nation in exile with schools and community centers, and continuing the fight for justice for the Armenian people everywhere including Artsakh and Armenia, and even for those that disagree with our policies.

ARF Volunteer Groups Were at the Front in Artsakh and Protesting in Yerevan
Nikol and his mis-steppers attack those rightfully demanding his resignation, asking the protesters where they were during the war, when in fact, many of those same protesters had recently returned from the front lines only to find themselves arrested and beaten when they voiced their disapproval of Nikol and his missteps. A bludgeoning example of Pashinyan’s modern democracy in his “new Armenia.”

ARS continues its mission to assist the people during this humanitarian crisis

When the war first started, the ARF immediately mobilized and sent its first volunteer battalion to the front in coordination with the Defense Ministry. Soon after, the ARF sent additional platoons comprised of its members and supporters, from Armenia and abroad. Of course, those ARF members that were drafted into the military, served there as well. Many did not return, but those that did, joined the protests calling for Pashinyan’s resignation.

ARF Volunteer Groups Remain At The Front Along The New Border In Syunik
After Pashinyan’s initial capitulation, he refused to send troops to border towns and villages where Azeris are laying claim to Armenian lands and amassing their armies such as in Kapan. Most recently in Syunik, Nikol ordered the military and its remaining soldiers to surrender critical defensive posts and retreat, leaving defenseless villagers to fend for themselves and placing Kapan and surrounding villages within the crosshairs of Azeri snipers. Meanwhile the ARF sent volunteer battalions into the region to defend our people and our lands, and to help the civilian population along the border.

ANCA secures emergency aid, recognition ofr Artsakh, partners to return POWs,and investigates US companies

Pashinyan and his mis-steppers continue to give away Armenia one piece at a time while unashamedly talking about establishing economic relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey even before the bodies of our martyrs are returned for proper burials; they promote their agenda for economic prosperity from the Azeri-Turkish-Pashinyan coalition, similar to the Levon Ter Petrosian plan of the 1990s, even while the enemy kidnaps and tortures civilians and soldiers, takes more Armenian lands and ancient villages, and announces it will seize all of Armenia starting in the south where Nikol and his mis-steppers have placed the entire area at risk even before the Azeri-Turkish corridor through Meghri is built.

ARS, Homenetmen, Hamazkayin and Others Respond To The Humanitarian Crisis
During this humanitarian crisis with thousands of homeless and displaced Armenian families from Artsakh, the failed pashinyan regime created a bureaucratic nightmare for those in need to register, jump through a myriad of hoops, and if they’re lucky they may eventually receive a few minuscule crumbs; minimal assistance to barely survive less than a month during the harsh winter.
The ARF, its affiliates and many other community organizations, churches and schools, and countless individuals, contributed funds and supplies to help those in need trying to survive the Pashinyan nightmare.

ANCA action alerts, partners and sanctions against Turkey

The ARS has already sponsored thousands of families and reopened kindergartens in Stepanakert; Hamazkayin is continuing with classes for displaced families and their children in Yerevan; Homenetmen is providing much needed assistance to families in crisis; and still many others have mobilized to join in the efforts to help their brothers and sisters survive during this ongoing existential crisis. Many in Armenia, including a plethora of individuals from the diaspora, have created independent groups to distribute funds and supplies themselves because they do not trust Nikol or his mis-steppers.

Making matters worse, there’s warehouses full of supplies sent from the diaspora not being dispersed to those in need because the government wants to either charge a tax or take the supplies for themselves to use how they deem fit, which most likely will find their way to be sold for personal profit or used to bribe people to support Nikol and his mis-steppers; a government that seized Armenia Fund moneys, gave themselves bonuses, and focused on selfies and photo-ops instead of governing and leading.

ANCA Maintains Relations With Governments and Represents Interests of Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora
Armenia’s failed foreign policy and lack of relationships with other governments is also blatantly obvious as Nikol’s representatives are “too busy” or “preoccupied” while ANCA secures funding, humanitarian and medical aid, sanctions against Azerbaijan and Turkey, and works with international partners to secure the return of POWs, calls for investigations into weapons manufacturers and much more.

AYF youth political activism and assistance to wounded soldiers and families

AYF Political Activism and Support for Wounded Soldiers and Their Families
In addition, it’s the AYF (ARF youth) that continues to fundraise for its Wounded Soldiers program to assist the injured and the families of the injured or fallen soldiers; they continue to be politically active, fighting for justice for Artsakh and Armenia as they do hunger strikes, organize protests, rallies, and social media campaigns, and continue a long legacy of fighting for justice for the Armenian nation.

ARF in Armenia and Throughout the World Rightfully Demands Pashinyan Resign
And finally, ARF is one of the organizations in the Homeland Salvation Movement in Armenia that organizes protests and rallies demanding Pashinyan resign to establish a unified, temporary government to salvage the crisis created by Nikol and his mis-steppers, clarify the remaining vague points in the trilateral agreement, return the bodies of our dead, secure the release of remaining POWs, manage the humanitarian crisis, and have free and fair elections within a year.

What Has the ARF Done? What Have Nikol & His Mis-Steppers Done?
Go ahead and ask us what the ARF has done for the past few months or 130 years in the Homeland and in the Diaspora, and what we’ve been doing since the Pashinyan capitulation? Then ask Nikol and his mis-steppers what they’ve done in the past, for how long, and what they’re doing now? Where were they during the war, the capitulation and surrender, and what have they been doing since? Whose interests are they really furthering and protecting?
Then demand a public and transparent trial against Nikol and his mis-steppers to bring to justice those who organized or were complicit in this act of treason with swift and severe punishment to serve as an example and deter any future acts of betrayal against the Armenian nation.

Together We Shall Overcome, Without Nikol & His Mis-Steppers
Together we will rescue, rebuild and recreate our Armenia and Artsakh despite Nikol and his mis-steppers not so hidden agenda and their efforts to destroy that which we hold dear. We shall rise again and flourish as a united nation in the homeland and the diaspora. Together we shall overcome but first, Nikol must resign, so the united, temporary government can start the process to resurrect the national agenda.

Putin Urges Respect For Karabakh Truce Accord

        • Aza Babayan

RUSSIA -- Russian President Vladimir Putin attends his annual end-of-year news
conference, held online in a video conference mode, at the Novo-Ogaryovo state
residence outside Moscow,

The parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must respect the Russian-brokered
agreement to stop the Armenian-Azerbaijani war and not try to change the status
quo, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

“We agreed within the framework of the trilateral statement [issued by the
leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on November 10] to stop hostilities,”
Putin told a marathon news conference held outside Moscow. “And, what is very
important, we agreed that the parties will stop at the positions where they were
when our trilateral statement was signed.”

“Everybody must stop there,” he added, answering a question about whether
Armenian forces should also withdraw from Karabakh in addition to surrounding
districts recaptured by or handed over to Azerbaijan.

Some officials and commentators in Baku claimed earlier this week that the
ceasefire agreement requires Armenian forces to pull out of Karabakh as well.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry dismissed those claims.

The Armenian side accused Baku of violating the ceasefire agreement after
Azerbaijani forces captured at the weekend the last two Armenian-controlled
villages in Karabakh’s Hadrut district which was occupied by them during the
six-week war. Russian peacekeepers intervened to stop further fighting in the
area.

Putin expressed hope that there will be no more truce violations in the conflict
zone and that the parties will resume peace talks mediated by the Russian,
French and U.S. co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.

The truce accord says nothing about Karabakh’s future status. Putin reiterated
that it must be determined in the future.

“The status of Karabakh itself must remain unchanged. That is, the status quo
must be fixed along with the mandatory creation of communication possibilities
between Armenia and Karabakh,” he said.

Putin noted that Karabakh is a part of Azerbaijan “from the international legal
standpoint.” “But the situation is much more complex than the normative
postulates … The Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh had taken up arms to protect
their life and dignity,” he stressed.

Armenian Troop Redeployment Sparks Protests

        • Susan Badalian

Armenia -- Protesters block a road in Syunik province,

Hundreds of residents of Armenia’s southeastern Syunik province bordering
districts recaptured by Azerbaijan during the war in Nagorno-Karabakh blocked a
highway on Thursday to protest against Armenian troop redeployments resulting
from the Russian-brokered ceasefire.

The Azerbaijani army mostly regained control of the Zangelan and Kubatli
districts southwest of Karabakh and approached Syunik during the six-week war
stopped on November 10. Some internationally recognized parts of the two
districts close to Syunik’s capital Kapan and other communities have remained
under Armenian control until now.

Armenian army units began pulling back from those areas and redeploying much
closer to the Syunik settlements on Thursday, sparking angry protests by local
residents concerned about their security.

Hundreds of them closed a section of the main Syunik road to demand a halt to
the troop withdrawal. The protesters said that Azerbaijani forces will now be
stationed dangerously close to their communities.

“Our security won’t be guaranteed,” one of them told RFE/RL’s Armenian Service.
“How can we be sure that their snipers won’t shoot at us from there?”

Kapan’s Mayor Gevorg Parsian also voiced serious concerns. Aysor.am quoted
Parsian as saying that the “unfortunate order” issued to Armenian troops will
leave Kapan without a vital “security zone.”

The troop redeployments also raised questions about the safety of the highway
connecting Kapan to another provincial town, Goris. Some of its sections
straddle the Soviet-era Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

Syunik Governor Melikset Poghosian talked to the protesters and tried to allay
their fears. He said that the security risks resulting from ongoing
delimitations of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border can be minimized.

The protests erupted as Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutiunian toured Syunik to
discuss practical modalities of the troop redeployment with local military
commander and provincial authorities.

In a statement on Harutiunian’s visit, the Armenian Defense Ministry announced
that more Russian border guards will be deployed at “some sections of the Syunik
border.” It gave no other details.

Harutiunian visited Moscow and held talks with Russian Defense Minister Sergei
Shoigu at the weekend.

In an interview with RFE/RL’s Armenian Service, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian
insisted on Wednesday that Armenia will not lose any inch of its internationally
recognized territory as a result of the border delimitations. “The borders are
being demarcated on the basis of Soviet-era maps,” he said.

Kocharian Visits Moscow
Դեկտեմբեր 17, 2020
December -- Former President Robert Kocharian greets supporters during his
trial, Yerevan, February 25, 2020.

Former President Robert Kocharian flew to Moscow on Thursday on what his office
described as a three-day private visit.

The office gave no details of the trip, and it was not clear whether Kocharian
was scheduled to meet with any Russian officials.

Russian media reported that the board of directors of a major Russian
corporation, AFK Sistema, will hold a regular meeting on Friday. Kocharian has
been a board member since 2009.

The 66-year-old ex-president, who governed Armenia from 1998-1999, has not been
able to attend any Sistema meetings since being arrested in July 2018 on coup
charges rejected by him as politically motivated. He was most recently released
from jail on bail in May this year.

Russia has criticized the criminal proceedings launched against Kocharian.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly made a point of congratulating
him on his birthday anniversaries and praising his legacy.

Weeks after the outbreak of the recent war in Nagorno-Karabakh, Kocharian and
another former president, Levon Ter-Petrosian, offered to visit Moscow to meet
with Russian leaders as Armenia’s “special envoys.” Their planned trip was
cancelled in disputed circumstances.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian questioned late last month the sincerity and
seriousness of the ex-presidents’ offers. The latter responded by accusing
Pashinian of blatantly lying about their hopes to try to stop the war.

Earlier this month, Kocharian joined the Armenian opposition in blaming
Pashinian for the Armenian side’s defeat in the war and demanding his
resignation. He charged that Pashinian’s government made the war “inevitable”
with reckless diplomacy and miscalculations of Armenia’s military potential and
needs. Pashinian rejected the criticism.

Government Approves More Aid Programs For Karabakh Refugees

        • Narine Ghalechian

Armenia -- Labor and Social Affairs Minister Mesrop Arakelian at a cabinet
meeting in Yerevan, .

The Armenian government approved on Thursday two temporary employment programs
for residents of Nagorno-Karabakh who fled to Armenia during the recent war with
Azerbaijan.

In particular, it pledged to create public works jobs for the ethnic Armenian
refugees remaining in the country. A government statement did not specify how
many of them will be covered by the scheme. It said only that they will be able
to work for up to three months and receive 8,000 drams ($15) a day.

The government will also offer to finance paid internships for unemployed
refugees willing to gain work experience in new fields. It will pay each intern
100,000 drams a month and compensate their employers for all resulting taxes.

“These are short-term programs that do not encourage permanent work … because
more long-term employment encouragement programs are planned in Artsakh
(Karabakh). They will enable Artsakh citizens to have stable incomes,” Labor and
Social Affairs Minister Mesrop Arakelian said during a cabinet meeting in
Yerevan.

The government also announced three-month financial assistance to families in
Armenia and Karabakh temporarily hosting Karabakh Armenians who lost their homes
during the six-week war stopped by a Russian-brokered ceasefire on November 10.
They will get 30,000 and 45,000 drams respectively for every person hosted by
them.

According to authorities in Stepanakert, at least 90,000 civilians making up
around 60 percent of Karabakh’s population fled their homes during the war. Most
of them took refuge in Armenia. At least 40,000 Karabakh Armenians have
reportedly returned home over the past month.

"In any debate, if one side has to offer facts and the other side can offer doubts and they're considered of equal value, then the ones who offer doubts will always have an advantage." Moderna co-founder Noubar Afeyan isn't naïve about the pushback that his company's COVID-19 vaccine will receive when it hits the US market. Disinformation around vaccine safety and efficacy was rampant even before the pandemic began. His conversation with Ian Bremmer was part of the latest episode of GZERO World.

Argentine-Armenian Lucas Zelarayan named 2020 MLS Cup’s Most Valuable Player

Columbus Crew midfielder Lucas Zelarayan was named the 2020 MLS Cup’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) after scoring twice and providing an assist as his side thumped defending champions Seattle Sounders 3-0 on Saturday, Massis Post reports.

The Argentine-Armenian playmaker, who arrived from Tigres in the offseason in a deal worth a reported $7 million, opened the scoring in the 25th minute when he fired a low-volley past Seattle keeper Stefan Frei.

The 28-year-old turned provider for the second goal, finding Derrick Etienne Jr. in space, with the Haitian winger unleashing a curling effort past Frei into the far corner.

Zelarayan netted his second in the 82nd minute after neat wing play from Luis Diaz to become the second player in MLS Cup history to be involved in three goals in a final after the Crew’s Guillermo Barros Schelotto in 2008.

Crew coach Caleb Porter described Zelarayan as “unbelievably special”.

“I’ve coached good players before but this guy is unbelievable.

“We shared a great moment after the game. He told me I changed his life. And I told him he changed my life.

“I brought him here to win championships. He seemed to be looking for something new to stimulate him. A lot of time I’ve seen guys are cutthroat, they sell their souls a little and lose their way. But he came here and I think he looks like a new man.” Porter said of Zelarayan.

Born in Córdoba, Argentina, Zelarayán is of Armenian descent. He received an invitation to represent the Armenia national team in June 2018.

Impossible to demarcate Armenia’s state border on the basis of Google Maps – Ombudsman

Public Radio of Armenia

Dec13 2020

It is impossible to demarcate or delimit the state borders of Armenia on the basis of Google Maps or Google Global Positioning System (Google GPS), Armenia’s Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan says.

“It is not clear which version of Google Maps is the basis when Google itself mentions that there are many versions of online maps of the world. Or have we found out what algorithmic systems or positioning mechanisms underlie a particular version of an online map?” the Ombudsman says.

“The researches and observations of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia in the border settlements confirm that this approach seriously endangers the constitutional rights of life, physical and mental immunity, property of the residents of the border settlements,” Tatoyan adds.

“It is about the protection of the borders of our state, the physical security and safety of our people and each person,” the Human Rights Defender says, adding that “the issue of demarcations or delimitations requires professional approaches, results of scientific research, detailed on-site work, proper legal bases, etc.”

He stresses that the issue should be one of the exclusive priorities of our country, in the focus of everyone’s atttention.

Armenian dram keeps on losing its value

ArmBanks, Armenia
Dec 11 2020

11.12.2020 17:27

YEREVAN, December 11. /ARKA/. The Armenian dram continues to devalue and the economic situation is difficult, Edgar Karapetyan, director for strategy and innovation at Galaxy Group of Companies, wrote on his Facebook page. He said the US dollar is already trading at 520-525 drams.

“Many people ask why the Central Bank does not take action to restrain the devaluation of the dram. To do this, it is necessary to present the whole picture. In particular, over the past 3 months, Armenia's international reserves have decreased by $381 million to about $2.3 billion as of late November (about 20% of GDP and 45% of imports). There is no doubt that the reserves were used in the domestic market to restrain the dram's devaluation against the US dollar,” Karapetyan said.

In addition, according to him, in the next three months, the Central Bank will have to pay off loan obligations in the amount of $1.1 billion, as a result of which state reserves will decrease, at best, to $1.1 billion (about 10% of GDP and 22% of import).

“This indicator is already risky enough,” Karapetyan said. He also noted that the ratio of public debt to GDP at the current rate is already 67.4%, which, according to international organizations, is also a risky indicator.

According to him, only 47% of government treasury bonds were placed the day before, with an average yield of 7.6% (2% higher than in the summer).

“Thus, the country is experiencing a significant economic recession, a reduction in state budget revenues, a significant increase in government spending, and inadequate government administration. At the same time, there is no necessary financial inflows such as investments, exports and remittances and there is no trust in the government,” Karapetyan said. -0–
