Azeri President Urges Armenians To Wake Up And To Come Back To Reali

AZERI PRESIDENT URGES ARMENIANS TO WAKE UP AND TO COME BACK TO REALITY JUST TO COMPARE THEMSELVES WITH TURKEY

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a bleeding wound for both
Azerbaijan and Turkey. It has proved that the Azeris and the Turks
must act together against such problems, and Turkey is ready to share
Azerbaijan’s difficulties in this matter, Turkish Prime Minister Recep
Erdogan said during his joint press-conference with Azeri President
Ilham Aliyev.

He reprimanded Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan for using “a style
and an attitude that do not befit a statesman.”

Erdogan believes that what Sargsyan said during his meeting with
Armenian teens was a provocation, an attempt to implant hostility
and hatred in children’s minds. He said that if the Armenian leaders
continue doing this, their youths will be ignorant and ill-disposed.

“The territory of Nagorno-Karabakh is occupied and the occupants
are known. Until now the Armenians have shown a negative attitude
towards the attempts to resolve the conflict, unlike Azerbaijan,
who has always been positively disposed,” Erdogan said.

He said that, according to the Armenians’ logic, “since today they
have occupied Nagorno-Karabakh, tomorrow they can occupy the Mount
Ararat.” “How can one give such guidelines to young people?” Erdogan
said indignantly, urging the Armenian President to apologize and to
try “to correct his historical mistake.”

In his turn, President Aliyev said that he did not expect anything
else from Sargsyan. “I have met him many times and I am well aware
of his aggressive mentality,” he said.

He noted that the real population of Armenia is 1,800,000. “And those
people claim Turkey’s historical lands!?” Aliyev said indignantly.

“The Armenians are mistaken if they think that they have solved the
Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Nagorno-Karabakh is and will be an Azeri
land. Sooner or later, peacefully or not, Azerbaijan will restore its
sovereignty over that territory. But their territorial claims against a
great power like Turkey prove that they have something missing in their
heads. They live in a world of illusions. They must wake up and come
back to reality just to compare themselves with Turkey and to see that
one can’t compare an ant with an elephant,” Aliyev said in conclusion.

To remind, when asked by one of the winners of the 5th Armenian
Language and Literature Youth Olympiad what borders the future Armenia
will have and whether they will encompass Western Armenia and the
Mount Ararat, President Sargsyan said: “Everything depends on your
generation. My generation has fulfilled its mission by protecting
part of our homeland, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), from the enemy in
the early 1990s. Each generation has its mission and must be able to
fulfill it well.”

ARMENIANS ONLY IMAGINE THEY HAVE SETTLED KARABAKH CONFLICT – ALIYEV

The Armenians only imagine that they have settled the Nagorno Karabakh
conflict, but they are mistaken, theAzerbaijani president has said.

Ilham Aliyev made the statement at a joint news conference organized
after his meeting with the Turkish prime minister, Recep Tayyip
Erdogan, the Azerbaijani news agency Salam News reported.

“The Nagorno Karabakh is an Azerbaijani land and will remain a part
of Azerbaijan. Some time in future Azerbaijan will reinstate power
over Karabakh,” Aliyev was quoted as saying.

Addressing Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan recent statement at
a meeting with participants of a pan-Armenian Olympiad, he said,
“I could not have expected anything else of Sargsyan. I have had
several meetings with him. I am well aware of his mentality. As a
matter of fact he demonstrates the aggressive character of Armenia.”

special nights of Armenian-focused programming featuring back-to-back
documentaries by filmmaker Hagop Goudsouzian on Tuesday, August 9; on
Friday, August 12 feature film Screamers by director Carla Garapedian
will air featuring the band “System Of A Down,” all to highlight the
rich culture, music and history of the local Armenian community during
this special time of year-the holy celebration of the Assumption of
St. Mary and the Blessing of the Grapes.

ValleyPBS is broadcast on 18.1 over the air, Cable channel 8, Comcast
HD 708, and Dish, U-verse and Direct TV channel 18.

On August 9, local news anchor and television personality Stefani
Booroojian, along with Prof. Barlow Der Mugrdechian, Director of the
Armenian Studies Program at Fresno State, will host the evening.

Armenian Exile begins at 7:00 p.m., followed by Armenian Minstrels
at 8:30 p.m.

Filmmaker Carla Garapetian In Armenian Exile (2009), his second film,
Goudsouzian paints a self-portrait in which he pursues a greater
understanding of his Armenian roots. In 1988, Nagorno-Karabakh’s war
for independence was in the headlines worldwide. Halfway across the
world in Canada, Goudsouzian’s peaceful world was suddenly shaken:
“I had forgotten I was Armenian, until I saw the courage of these
people who had never forgotten who they were and knew what they had
to do.” Seeking clarity of both history and self, Goudsouzian reflects
on Armenian identity, which is at the heart of all his films.

Armenian Minstrels-the newest film in Goudsouzian’s trilogy of
documentaries showcasing the vibrant culture and rich history of
Armenia-traces the long tradition of folk music through performances
and interviews with musicians and fans. Filmed in Armenia, Armenian
Minstrels features Professor Tovmas Poghosyan, the “Sayat-Nova
Minstrel Song Ensemble” and impromptu interviews with well known
Armenian minstrels Andranik Ujanci, Astghanush, Kochar, and Makhmour,
who sing and recount the critical role their songs and music play
in keeping alive a once dying art form, and the role music and songs
play as a tool for cultural survival.

Born in Egypt, Hagop Goudsouzian is of Armenian descent and currently
lives in Toronto. In partnership with TVOntario TFO, he has produced
and directed a number of television and documentary series.

The movie Screamers will air on August 12, at 8:30pm and features
multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning band “System Of A Down” as
they lend their music to this critically acclaimed political movie-an
impassioned synthesis of concert and hard-hitting expose about genocide
in the last century-from Armenian Genocide through the many other
genocides in the world up to and including Darfur. Filmmaker Carla
Garapedian will be in studio with Leslie Davis and Prof. Sergio La
Porta of the Armenian Studies Program as the hosts for the evening.

Augmentation Des Recettes Fiscales Armeniennes En 2011

AUGMENTATION DES RECETTES FISCALES ARMENIENNES EN 2011

ARMENIE

14% enregistres l’an dernier.

Ce fait refl猫te le probl猫me de

budget 2011.

RUSSIAN MIGRATION SERVICE OPERATES IN ARMENIA ILLEGALLY

Lragir.am

27/07/2011

In March of this year, the youth organization ‘Hima’ (Now) said about
the illegality of the functioning of Russian migrant centers in
Armenia.

Expert opinions were issued on TV shows, meetings. It was found that
these centers operate in Armenia absolutely illegally, and the project
“Countrymen” is just a way to solve the demographic problems of remote
areas of Russia via emptying Armenia. Authorities had to react, and
the government acknowledged that “a project according to these
standards cannot be done”. But instead of finding and punishing those
guilty, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan intends to put the question on
the project “Compatriots” on the level of intergovernmental
discussions.

Hima organization demands to conduct negotiations with Russia on this
project, close all the immigration centers in Armenia, like other CIS
countries did, to punish officials who have shown criminal negligence
and allowed exodus from the country.

HAYKAKAN ZHAMANAK: ARMENIA’S HIGH-RANKING OFFICIAL UNAWARE OF GRAVE SITUATION

Tert.am

Listening to Armenian high-ranking officials’ carefree speeches,
one concludes they are unaware of the grave economic situation in
the country.

Two official documents made public on Tuesday give an idea of the
economic situation in Armenia. Specifically, the documents deal with
budge performance and real estate prices, the newspaper reports.

According to the Jauary-March budget performance report presented by
the Armenian minister of finance, budget revenues proved about 4 bn
less (0.7%) than planned, and budget expenditures about 45 bn less
(11.5%).

The State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre reported that reported a
10% average decline in real estate prices this June against last June.

Both the documents are evidence of a worsening economic situation in
the country. Listening to Armenian high-ranking officials’ carefree
speeches, one concludes they are unaware of the grave economic
situation in the country.
