Come Home Program Participants Meet World Boxing Champions Of Armeni

COME HOME PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS MEET WORLD BOXING CHAMPIONS OF ARMENIAN ORIGIN, VISIT PARAJANOV’S AND HOVHANNES TOUMANIAN’S HOUSE-MUSEUM

July 29, 2009

YEREVAN, JULY 28, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. The July 28 agenda of
the Come Home program was very busy and full of many surprises. There
was an unusual activity at Yerevan School 168 after Vazgen I. World
boxing champions Vakhtang Darchinian and Susi Kentikian waited for
the Diasporan Armenian young people after the regular course on the
Study of Native Land subject held for participants of the Come Home
program. RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobian invited them to go
to school with her.

The school administration organized a special reception: the guests
were accompanied to the school hall with the traditional Armenian
hospitality.

The hall was completely full of not only Diasporan Armenian young
people but also of many guests. The guests were greeted by school
Director Sona Galstian who expressed her gratitude to the RA Minister
of Diaspora and Armenian champions on the occasion of visiting the
school. Then the school pupils presented nice dancing and reciting
performances.

The RA Minister of Diaspora warmly greeted the Diasporan Armenian boys
and girls and wished them always to have victories in their life like
Susi and Vakhtang. She emphasized that the champions of the Armenian
origin reached those succeses setting themselves an object, owing to
their everyday hard work. The Minister called on that every Armenian,
like Vakhtang, keep the honour of the Armenian flag high, devotes
himself to the Armenian, Armenians and Armenia. Then Hranush Hakobian
handed diplomas of the Ministry of Diaspora to Vakhtang Darchinian
and Susi Kentikian for assisting development of the Armenia-Diaspora
cooperation, keeping high the rating of the Armenian sport and an
Armenian on the international scene.

The young people from Armenian and Diasporan Armenians who were
present at the hall addressed the questions they were interested
in to the champions of the Armenian origin. If the questions given
to Vakhtang related to his sporting career and future programs,
questions given to Susi were of more private character. Susi,
particularly, mentioned that she started going in for boxing when
she was 12. She also confessed that she is not going to marry yet. At
the request of the trainer of the boxing group functioning at School
168, Vakhtang told beginner boxers his formula of reaching succes:
"Victory is possible only owing to hard work."

According to hayernaysor.am, on the same day there was a surprise
for the Diasporan Armenians at the African Pandok (inn) as well. The
tiredness from the hot summer of Yerevan was immediately forgotten when
the nice cake decorated with flaming candles was brought in: it was
the 17th birthday of Aylin Traiean arrived from Egypt, on the occasion
of what the friends from the Come Home program prepared that surprise.

The second half of the day was cultural. Sergei Parajanov’s
house-museum where the boys and girls got acquainted with the
great artist’s life and activity, closely saw the canvases and
original collages created by him, was too impressive for the program
participants. By the way, Armenian young people arrived from Georgia
and Ukraine were well informed about the great artist’s work as Sergei
Parajanov lived and created in those countries for a long time.

The other cultural hearth visited by the Come Home 2009 participants
was Hovhannes Toumanian’s house-museum where they walked through the
halls accompanied by the museum employees, got acquainted with the
daily rutine and life details of "His Holiness Armenian Poet." The box
decorated with sculptures fixed on the wall of one of the rooms where
the great writer’s heart was kept during long years was especially
impressive.

This was the July 28 agenda of the Come Home program full of sporting
victories and feelings of the beauty.

Defeated In Afghanistan; Let’s Invade Iran

DEFEATED IN AFGHANISTAN; LET’S INVADE IRAN

Pakistan Daily

July 24 2009

The Israel Lobby boy from Bush era – US Secretary of Defense Robert
Gates, admitted defeat in Afghanistan – as quoted by Los Angeles
Times on July 19: "The troops are tired. The Americans people of
pretty tired. The US-lead forces must gain ground against militants
(as if Taliban are the only people carrying guns while Americans,
British, Canadian, Australian and Nato – are in Afghanistan to feed
hungry people and spread Christianity!) in Afghanistan by next summer
to avoid a public perception that war is unwinable. Taliban would
not be defeated within one year (it would be 9th year, idiot) but
it’s critical that the US military and its allies showed that they
are making progress…."

Last week at Economic Club of Chicago – Robert Gates spilled his
Zionist beans: "Iran is the one that concerns me the most because
there don’t seem to be good options (other than war) wher one can have
optimism that good option will be found…..Iran’s is going to have
capability to deliver nuclear weapons to the people in their region
(maybe the Zionist is ignorant of the fact that Tehran already has the
delivery mechanism to reach Tel Aviv – however, they need a nuclear
weapon. Maybe they can steal one of Israel’s 240 nuclear bombs!) a
lot sooner than they’re going to have the capability to deliver them
to us (don’t woory – Tehran already has a terrorist group in the US,
known as MOSSAD).

Jewish controlled mainstream media has already started echoing
Afghanistan to become Obama’s Vietnam. For example, Newsweek, on July
16 published John Barry’s article saying that "even the coalition
commanders in Afghanistan wonder if they can win the war". Sahil
Kapur writing for the Zionist think tank Huffingtonpost, though
admitted that Iraq-Afghanistan war has "contributed to an exploding
deficit, a $10 trillion debt, a US army stretched thin and a nearlu
unmanageable economic crisis". However, for the benefit of his native
India – he pleaded on February 18, 2009: "Don’t Let Afghanistan Become
Obama’s Vietnam".

Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran share the common reasons for the Israel
Lobby to force Washington to fight wars for Israel – which are:
threat to Israel’s military superiority in the region, opium, and
oil. In addition to Iran’s progress in the nuclear field, Islamic
Resistance groups Hizb’Allah and Hamas have shaken Israel’s myth
of invincibility. Like Iraq, Iran too has huge deposits of oil and
gas. It sits on the world’s largest oil reserves, the Zagros Oil
Belt. Taliban banned opium cultivation and brought it to its lowest
level (178 tons), which sent socks to the Jewish monopolized The Wall
Street. Since US occupation – the opium cultivation has jumped to
over 4,000 tons per year. Afghanistan also sits between Turkmenistan,
home to world’s third largest natural gas reserves and a lucrative
market for the Israelis. The Caspian Basin is estimated to be worth
more than US$5 trillion.

There are two plans to exploit Caspian oil reserves. One is oil and gas
pipelines through Afghanistan to Pakistani port of Gwadar (Balochistan)
and then shipped to refineries in Israel – and the other is oil and
gas pipelines to Turkish port of Ceyhan and thence to Israel’s oil
terminal at Ashkelon and on to its Red Sea port of Eilat.

Yosef A. Maiman, an Israeli billionaire, owns lion’s share of
Turkmenistan’s oil and gas industry. He is the "Special Ambassador" of
Israel to Turkmenitan government. He is also Israel’s "Honrary Consul"
in Peru. In keeping with Israeli political interests, Maiman’s planned
pipelines bypass Iran and Russia. Maiman has said: "I have no objection
in dealing with Iran, "when and if Israeli policy allows it"."

According to American WesternGeco Geophysical Company – "The Turkmen
sector of Caspian Sea contains up to 11 billion tons of oil and 5.5
trillion cubic meters of gas. A few days earlier the Special Envoy of
the US Secretary of State for Eurasian Energy, Richard Morningstar,
visited Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. Both the US and Israel are
training Azerbaijan armed forces against Armenia which maintains
close relations with Islamic Iran and Russia.

This oil is mine: G-d gave it to me just as He gave me the Holy Land
(Palestine).

AMERIABANK RANKS FIRST BY AUTHORIZED CAPITAL IN ARMENIA’S BANKING SYSTEM

/PanARMENIAN.Net/
22.07.2009 16:20 GMT+04:00

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ To date, Ameriabank by the size of its authorized
capital takes first place in the banking system of Armenia, Tigran
Jrbashyan, Director of Development of Ameriabank told journalists
today in Yerevan.

In respect to the aggregate capital, the bank’s share in the total
banking system of Armenia is 8.1 per cent and by its aggregate capital
Ameriabank is in fourth place, Jrbashyan said.

However, he noted that by its assets the bank holds 7.53 per cent
of the entire banking system of Armenia. "Trends of this growth are
increasing every quarter, and in terms of its assets, Ameniabank is the
fifth largest in the specific weight of the banking system," he said.

"In respect to our liabilities if at the end of the first quarter
we were at the seventh place, during the second quarter of 2009 we
went up to the fifth position," he said. Jrbashyan noted that this
was primarily due to the growth of certain liabilities of the bank,
and the fact that the whole banking system, particularly major banks,
recorded a decline in their liabilities.

Tigran Jrbashyan expressed the hope that the third quarter will be
good for the bank.

CJSC Ameriabank is a corporate investment bank offering corporate,
investment and some retail services as an integrated package. The
strategic partner of JSC "Ameriabank" is a "Troika Dialog" group,
one of the largest investment banking companies in Russia.
