Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Azerbaijan is satisfied with the
Turkey’s position on the solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict,
spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elkhan
Polukhov told APA speaking about the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet
Davutoglu’s statement.

"Azerbaijan welcomes Turkey’s steady position on the solution to
Nagorno Karabakh conflict", said the diplomat.

Turkey to leave Azerbaijan out of the cycle in the South Caucasus in
any manner and the liberation of the occupied Azerbaijani territories
was one of the goals of the Turkish-Armenian protocols.

Baku – APA. Germany’s public TV station ARD broadcasted a documentary
that focuses on Armenian allegations related to 1915, APA reports
quoting turkishny.com web-page.

he 90-minute documentary "Aghet-Ein Völkermord" (Tragedy of Genocide)
included opinion of Turkish origin German politicians and French
officials related to the issue.

Turkish Community of Germany (TGD) reacted to the documentary and
stated that the documentary is not objective. General President of
TGD Kenan Kolat stated that the documents shown in the documentary
was right but many other documents were not shown on purpose. "This
proves that the documentary was not objective," said he.

Stressing that they are towards discussion of 1915 incidents sincerely,
Kolat said, "On the other hand, such documentaries do not contribute
integration of Turkish community with Germany nor the process of
rapprochement between Turkey and Armenia.

Stressing that the documentary did not give place to the documents in
Turkey’s and other countries’ archives, Kolat said that broadcast of
this documentary by German public TV channel while there is a process
of rapprochement between Turkey and Armenia creates concerns that there
are circles that are against Turkish-Armenian rapprochement in Germany.

Kolat said that they sent a letter to ARD and requested from public
TV channel to broadcast another documentary that will give place to
the opinion of both sides.

SERZH SARGSYAN: TIME HAS COME TO PROVE THAT CONCERNS OVER DELAY OF INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE ARE GROUNDLESS

ArmInfo

ArmInfo. "US Armenian community has become one of the strongest links
in the issue of international recognition of Armenian Genocide. I am
sure the Diaspora will proceed with its mission. Armenian Genocide
recognition is inevitable", President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said
in the Washington National Cathedral after visiting the tomb of the
28th US President Woodrow Wilson.

According to S. Sargsyan, before signing of the Armenian-Turkish
Protocols, some people had concerns over the possibility for
Armenia-Turkey Protocols to impede international recognition of
the Armenian Genocide. "Time came to prove these concerns to be
groundless. Over the last months, we witnessed Turkey’s failed attempts
at presenting Armenia and Diaspora as divided in their opinions. We’re
here to disprove these hollow surmises. There are no separated Armenia
and Diaspora, but only a united Armenian nation", S. Sargsyan said.

When addressing the US Armenian community, the president emphasized:
"Being a community living abroad but instinct with the pain and
interests of Armenians, you are an insubmergible power: you are an
important constituent of Armenia’s international political weight.

This is realized by both our friends and others. You prove, by your
stance and decisiveness, that the calculations, according to which
it is possible to disperse and destroy the Armenians scattering all
over the world, were erroneous. Every Armenian should become the drop
which wears away a stone. We are just on this way. The hangmen of our
people did not give us an alternative. We shall prosper, we shall break
through the stone of indifference, cynicism and duplicity. We have
enough patience, belief and purposefulness for that. Let me complete
my speech with the words of gratitude addressed to the country and
the people who gave birth to such figures as Ambassador Morgenthau and
President Wilson. We are grateful to this great and powerful country
which has a tangible role in the life of the Armenian people", S.
Sargsyan resumed.

Iran To Lodge A Complaint With UN About Barack Obama’s Threat

IRAN TO LODGE A COMPLAINT WITH UN ABOUT BARACK OBAMA’S THREAT

PanARMENIAN.Net
April 11, 2010 – 16:44 AMT 11:44 GMT

Iran will lodge a complaint with the United Nations about what it
sees as U.S. President Barack Obama’s threat to attack it with nuclear
weapons, the foreign ministry said on Sunday.

Obama made clear last week that Iran and North Korea were excluded
from new limits on the use of U.S. atomic weapons — something Tehran
interpreted as a threat from a long-standing adversary to attack it
with nuclear bombs.

"The recent statement by the U.S. president … implicitly intimidates
the Iranian nation with the deployment of nuclear arms," Iran’s
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a televised meeting
with military and security officials.

"This statement is very strange and the world should not ignore it
since in the 21st century, which is the era of support for human
rights and campaigning against terrorism, the head of a country is
threatening to use nuclear war."

Foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast told the semi-official
Fars news agency Iran would lodge a formal complaint to the United
Nations, a move backed by a letter signed by 255 of Iran’s 290 members
of parliament.

Obama is pressing other global powers to agree to a fourth round of
U.N. sanctions against Iran over its refusal to halt nuclear work
that the West suspects is aimed at making bombs, a charge Iran denies.

Reflecting fears of attack on its nuclear sites from the United States
or its closest Middle East ally Israel, the defense ministry said
Iran had started producing a prototype of an advanced anti-aircraft
missile system.

"The Mersad air defense system … is able to destroy modern aircraft
at low and medium range altitude," the ISNA news agency on Sunday
quoted Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi as saying.

"The mass production of this product has begun and in the course
of the current year a large number of them will be delivered to the
armed forces," he said.

While Iran hopes the development of its own system will make it more
self-sufficient in weapons defense, it is also urging Russia to resist
Western pressure not to deliver the S-300 missile defense system it
has ordered.

On Friday, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran’s nuclear program
was "irreversible" despite limits on importing foreign technology and
the threat of new sanctions, and he unveiled a prototype of an improved
centrifuge which would enrich uranium faster than existing models.

Western analysts say Iran has exaggerated progress in the past to
bolster domestic pride about its nuclear program and to improve its
bargaining position with major powers.

The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization played down the idea
that Iran faced big technical hurdles.

"Iran’s nuclear issue is not a technical issue … we are not in a
hurry. Second generation centrifuges will be mass produced in the
next few months … in a year we will have prototype cascades of the
third generation," Ali Akbar Salehi told ISNA, Reuters reported.
