Pashinyan assumes the Brussels meeting won’t take place as Aliyev hasn’t confirmed his participation

 18:05,

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan assumes that the meeting  expected to take place in Brussels in late October will not take place as the President of Azerbaijan has not confirmed his participation.
The Prime Minister said during the question-and-answer session with members of the government in the National Assembly.

''Such a meeting is planned. But now the fact is that it will not happen in October. I suppose the reason is that the President of Azerbaijan has not confirmed his participation in the meeting. But there are also working details, regarding which we will try to get clarifications from the European Union partners in the coming days and understand further actions," said Pashinyan.

Although Armenia already has answers to some questions, the Prime Minister didn't make hasty assessments.
Armenia has expressed readiness to take part in that meeting.

Ambassador of Armenia to Austria Armen Papikyan participated in the Austrian parliament session as an honorary guest.

Multiple Austrian Members of Parliament delivered speeches condemning the Azeri actions and calling on the Austrian federal government to support Armenia and the forcibly displaced persons of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The resolution also calls for provisions of necessary resources to Armenia, as a priority country for the Austrian Development Agency, for further stabilizing the humanitarian situation.

Armenia ready to sign peace treaty with Azerbaijan by yearend – PM

 16:15,

STRASBOURG, OCTOBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Armenia is ready to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan by yearend, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in his speech in the European Parliament.

“We are ready to sign a treaty on peace and normalization of relations with Azerbaijan by the end of the year,” Pashinyan said, adding that Azerbaijan’s refusal to attend the planned Granada meeting “did not make our work easier.”

Signing a peace treaty by yearend would be strongly realistic if the principles adopted during the Brussels meetings are officially reaffirmed, the PM said.

Azerbaijan could be trying to nullify EU-mediated framework of principles, warns PM Pashinyan

 00:58,

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has commented on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s proposal to consider Georgia as a platform for negotiations.

In an interview with Public Television, Pashinyan said Aliyev’s offer could be interpreted as an attempt to nullify the already agreed upon principles by shifting to another platform, now when the issue of holding a meeting in Brussels is being discussed.

“A meeting took place in Granada, and the principles of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, from our and the EU’s perspective, were recorded in the EU platform. Now it is clear that when we meet in Brussels the conversation should take place within the framework of these principles, which, I wouldn’t say is in line with Armenia’s interests alone. The Republic of Armenia has accepted this, and by the way Azerbaijan has also accepted. And now, when we are discussing the issue of meeting in Brussels, where basically there’s a circle to be underscored, and when Azerbaijan is attempting to propose another platform, this could be interpreted by us that by moving to another platform Azerbaijan wants to cancel the already agreed upon principles,” Pashinyan said.

He said that the principles must be stipulated, signed and announced, which would make the framework of discussions clear.

PM Pashinyan said that the concerns that Azerbaijan could actually be plotting a new escalation are getting stronger.

“We are not against any conversation, but we are against the logic that would push us out from the framework of already agreed upon principles,” the Armenian PM added.

The Armenian community of Argentina also called for the immediate release of unlawfuly arrested NK officials and other captives.

“Our presence here today is a bright example that we will continue to struggle against the genocide, continuous extermination and persecutions of the Armenian people perpetrated by Turkey, which today is implemented by Azerbaijan,” Kalpakian said.

DT: USC has failed its Armenian students

The quiet atmosphere from the USC student body during an Armenian genocide in Artsakh is a sign that the Western Establishment has brainwashed us. Things must change and we students should all be expressing solidarity with our Armenian siblings.

Samaritan’s Purse Helping Displaced Armenians

Oct 5 2023
OCTOBER 5, 2023 • ARMENIA
A SAMARITAN'S PURSE TEAM MEMBER PRAYS WITH A WOMAN, ONE OF TENS OF THOUSANDS OF ARMENIANS WHO HAVE FLED THEIR HOMES.

More than 100,000 ethnic Armenians have fled the region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The mass exodus, in cars and buses filing over the Hakari Bridge, marks the latest humanitarian crisis in the rugged Caucasus region.

A Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) is on the ground in Armenia where we are working with local church partners to deliver relief as tens of thousands of displaced families arrive in need of shelter, food, water, and other relief. Our medical teams will begin working in local hospitals to meet needs as dozens of people were burned in a gas explosion. We also will be providing hot meals to displaced families as well as basic items such as personal hygiene kits, diapers, cleaning supplies, bed linens, and blankets.

Samaritan’s Purse has previously brought relief to this region, in response to war between Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2020. We used our DC-8 to airlift more than 22 tons of emergency supplies to Armenia—including coats, boots, thermals, gloves, socks and beanies. A team of disaster response specialists also distributed winter kits, blankets, food, and more to over 8,000 displaced families. Additionally, mobile medical teams provided critical care to more than 500 patients.

Please pray for hurting families during this current crisis, for our church partners serving them, and for potentially overwhelmed host communities. Pray also that God would bring peace to this region of longstanding conflict.
